When you link more than one wager into a single bet you are making a parlay bet. To be able to cash out the wager you have to win all the wagers involved in the parlay. The reason you make parlays instead of single bets, which are easier to win, is because the payout for a parlay is higher than the cumulative payout of each of its individual bets, and the payout increases with every match you add to the parlay. For example: a 2 team parlay pays 13/5, a 3 team parlay pays 6/1 and a 4 team parlay has a payout of 10/1. To make the wagering an easy task you could use the Parlay Calculator to figure out the payoff of your Parlay.
1. Fill the prices column with at least 2 money line prices.
2. Fill the amount ($) field with your wager.
3. Pressing the calculate button will give you the result.
The parlay calculator accepts values between -99999 and +99999 you have to put the + and - signs in order to get the right result, according to the price.
In a Parlay, you must select between 2 and 8 totals or teams, and to achieve a successful outcome all your wagers must win or get a tie. If you lose any match your parlay loses despite all other results or even game cancellations. In case of cancellations, reschedule, postpone, ties, or incomplete games, the wager reverts to the next lower value. For example if you have a 5 team parlay and you win 4 games and of them is a tie, your parlay is consider like a 4 team parlay. I f you have a 2 team parlay and one match is a tie then the parlay becomes a single bet.
| 2 Team Parlay | Amount |
|---|---|
| Giants -125 | 100 |
| Padres +130 |
The payout of any parlay is calculated using a formula that changes the money line into decimal numbers:
Every time you put the value of the money line in the calculator it will be converted to decimal, using this formula:
1-If the value is negative (-125) the formula goes like this 100/125 = 0.8
2-If the value is positive (130) the formula goes like this 130/100 = 1.3
The last step is calculated the payout with the following formula:
| (Risk Amount | X | Price 1 | X | Price 2) | - | Risk amount | = | PAYOUT |
Example: For a $100 parlay with:
| GIANTS -125 PADRES +130 | ||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $ 100 | X | (1+100/125) | X | (1+130/100) | - | $ 100 | = | PAYOUT |
| $ 100 | X | 1.8 | X | 2.3 | - | $ 100 | = | $ 314 |
Use the same method for any number of teams.
Teaser bets are popular sports bets (particularly in football and basketball) because it allows you to adjust the point spread in your favor. Teasers are used in parlay bets (bets linking together two or more wagers) and whatever teaser amount you choose will apply to all wagers within your bet.
Teasers allow you to have an advantageous point spread while selecting 2 to 8 teams (or more depending on the sportsbook). You may tease a side or a total of a football game and also cross sports by teasing football games with basketball games.
Any selection that loses makes the whole Teaser a loss.
Use out Teaser Calculator to determine the outcome of any particular teaser combination. Our Teaser Calculator allows you to select up to 14 teams in a teaser bet.
It's a wager that combines at least 2 games of football and basketball using spread or totals. You will get a better line but your payout will be reduced by a little. The variations for teasers are many, but the most common are football 6, 6.5, or 7 points and in basketball 4, 4.5, 5 points. If you are not sure of a certain line, you can increase the spread of the line to get a better chance to grasp the outcome, but in return your payout will be lower than normal.
If a teaser of more than 3 games gets a push in any of them, then it will go to the next lowest teaser possible, so if a teaser with 4 teams has one push, it will pay as a teaser of 3 teams instead.
The teaser payout is lower because it is the only bet that can incur in loses for the book, by the action in the games being more even.
